Now that the winter chill is finally out of the air, people everywhere are busily making their summer vacation plans. Perhaps you will get away to the beach or take a lovely excursion to a famous city. Regardless of where you are going, however, you will have to make sure your plus size clothing is light for flight. If you are worried about dealing with the weight restrictions imposed on all your carry-ons and checked baggage, the tips in this article can help you fly with peace of mind.
Make a plan to bring lightweight women’s plus size clothing in your luggage. This makes sense for summer travel anyway since you will want lighter fabrics for the warm weather. If you are traveling to an area that still has cool nights even in the summer, you can always layer a few lighter layers in order to create a nice outfit that will keep you warm. Avoid packing heavy sweaters, boots, or similar items that you are not even sure you will use on your trip since these will just be taking up valuable space in your luggage.
Pack your plus size clothing into your carry-on before moving to your checked bag since the latter has more weight restrictions. Plus, you will have all your big size essentials with you in your carry-on in the unlikely event that the airline loses your checked bag.
What if you are worried that you won’t have enough women’s plus size clothing outfits for your trip? Don’t worry; you can pack light and still have a wide array of gorgeous outfits to wear each day. Bring mix and match plus size clothing separates that can be combined into a variety of ensembles. That will allow you to look great and feel comfortable no matter where your travels take you.

You always want to look your best in plus size clothing at the office. Dressing to impress, after all, can turn out to bring you some significant benefits in the business world. Some women, however, seem to think that a formal business outfit has to be uncomfortable or unflattering. In reality, the opposite is true. You can put together gorgeous outfits that complement your body and also demand respect from coworkers, managers, and clients. Consider these simple suggestions for creating a great wardrobe of office plus size clothing.
Keep It Simple
Clean, simple outfits show off a dignified and classy style that will earn you the respect you deserve around the office. For example, a nice button-up blouse in classic colors like white, black, or navy is a simple yet elegant look for a typical workday. Choose a colored blouse for a slightly more business style. The best part is that these simple tops pair perfectly with either pants or a skirt so you can mix and match them to create several different outfits.
Business Can Be Casual
Some offices have strict dress codes that require employees to wear very formal plus size clothing. However, most workplaces are a little more flexible and allow you to add a, albeit slight, touch of casual dress to your work outfit. A great way to do that is with a caftan top that, while dressy enough for the workplace, is also comfortable and relaxed enough to wear out to dinner after work hours. A matching scarf or similar accessory can turn this simple blouse into a stylish business-casual top.
Express Your Own Style
The great thing about modern plus size clothing designers is that they are making clothes in all colors and styles. That means that you can truly express your own style at the workplace.
Is your office attire looking old, boring, or drab? Add a touch of style to your wardrobe with a few colorful blouses, flattering skirts, and stylish accessories that will look fabulous in and out of the workplace.

Did you ever make a purchase for women’s plus size clothing on eBay? I am sure you did. Well, if you did not then you might have just looked through the clothing section for women. But I bet most of you have made some kind of purchase there. It is almost a must. (I think the last time a bought something on eBay was a box of acupuncture needles. I was traveling to Indonesia and I was a bit worried what they might be poking me with, so I got me a box!)
Today, eBay is now all grown-up! And so are we.
Now there is Facebook. Most of my readers are a member and have several identities (shhhh I did not say that). I like to read posts the most from my friends and family. But then there is that moment I venture out into the search bar and type: Clothing for big women or big size clothing or just the old standard plus size clothing. Guess who comes up? The old guard. The backbone stores of larger garments. Like:
-One Stop Plus
-Big on Batik
-Making it Big
-Sealed with a Kiss (I always wondered about that name??? What is up with that??? Where is it sealed?
The list is endless. So i enjoy waking up in the morning and being entertained by those online stores. Even when I get home they continue to entertain me to the point I have to click “like” or even “share”. I hardly ever make a comment. And now this is what I am getting to … I hardy ever buy or go to their facebook “Visit Our Store”. I like to hear about the sales and discounts. In fact, it’s cool to read other women’s comments about clothing.
I guess one day I will break down and use one of those coupon codes or email paper discount. So for me its ebay purchases and I don’t have to follow anyone!
I love to hear from my readers. Has anyone made a purchase from Facebook?

The month of March has several points of interests and events. Can you guess which events and holidays they might be? (besides my birthday which i try to avoid at all costs; however my FB friends – some who I only know through apps game – keep reminding me). No it is not Friday the 13th. I looked it up and it is not until September. No its not Fashion Bugs big 75% sale off tops and shirts. No it is not Seal With a Kiss Designs new women’s big size pants.
Let me tell you.
1. St. Patrick’s Day on March 17th, 2003
2. First Day of Spring on March 20th, 2013
3. Easter which this year is on March 31st, 2013
I have to say I adore all these special times as the weather changes from cold to warm and the plants begin to bud. When I think about these events I always think about new beginnings, new colors and a fresh start. What about you? Do those words stroke an emotionally color inside like me? Of course I think of St. Patrick’s Day as green: hunter green, plant green, four leaf clover green, lettuce green, money green ….. the list is endless. But green has yellow and I think of that color too as St. Patrick’s Day gets closer to the first day of Spring on March 20th. So now my color palette not only includes shades of green but yellow. I think of yellow tulips, yellow roses, yellow sunflowers (which of course will not be out till August) and the bright yellow sun!
As the days get warmer and Easter approaches I have always noticed there is a rainbow of warm pastels. Last year I noticed in my garden shades of purple: lilac, violet and amethyst. I also think for white tulips (which I would love to grow) and paper whites.
As when you are thinking about March think about color. We had a snow white winter and now we will come to a rainbow Spring.
Go out and find some great women’s plus size clothing that expresses March. Here we have some ideas from Comfort in Fashion big size collection of clothing apparel.

I recently stumbled upon a new designer: Gianvito Rossi. What a find! Rossi has a collection of beautiful ladies shoes. Almost every pair of shoes, by Rossi, I found to be interesting. These Italian satin sandals were my favorite. It is basically a cocktail shoe with a Roman strap. I wanted to match it with a casual top, so I searched through Generous Fashion’s clothing collection. I found their scoop neckline pleated front top. I chose a dressy shoe and a casual top. I like that edgy look. When accessorized with a silver tone color necklace it will bring the outfit together.
Today, pretty much anything goes when it comes to fashion. However, a “look” should to be tasteful and thought out. If you going to combine the top half of your torso with a casual look and the bottom with a dressy choice add some amazing accessories. For example a necklace, pair of earrings, belt or scarf. When you do this the eye moves up and down moving from dressy to casual to dressy.
Rossi’s shoes can be found by going to Net-a-porter.com.
What do you think of the combination?

I recently realized that it is time for me to think about my health. For the last 14 years, I have been a mother, boss, wife and cook. Almost daily I have been telling myself I will get to the gym and eat better tomorrow. Tomorrow is today. I will take this off my “mental” list. For many years there has been a Revolution to detox. For for all those years I kept thinking what are we detoxing from? I thought about it ~ from pollution in the air, chemicals in our food, creams we put on our skin, second hand smoke, soaps/softeners in our linens, the list is endless. I found it! – A way to boost my health and join the Revolution. I do not like drinking water because it is tasteless. So to increase my water intake and boost my health; I purchased a juicer! Everyday I juice carrots or cucumbers with water. I make 2 liters. I discover that carrots are effective in detoxifying the liver and cucumbers good for treating both low blood pressure and high blood pressure.
In the first 3 weeks I lost a couple of pounds. My intention was not to lose weight but it came along with the new health plan! (As a plus size woman, losing a few pounds is always welcome!). I also discovered I had more energy and found I did not need my afternoon coffee. That was a surprise. It has been about 3 months since my Juicer and I became best friends. I added a 30 minute run-in-place program in the morning. I do this 3 times a week. I have gone down one size but not yet replaced any of my clothing. In fact, my “fashionable” clothing is fitting me better! (I did buy some discount clothing at Macy’s. I needed some work out T-shirts.) It took me years to wrap my head around my health. I have added a link to the benefits of carrots and cucumbers. When you have a chance check out bananas and papaya ~ amazing! I love to hear from my readers. I am curious if any of you juice or have a suggestion to boost your health. #health

There was once a time when finding new fashion ideas for casual plus size clothing was impossible. Local stores would never dare put a curvy mannequin out in a display. And fashion magazines with curvy women were nowhere to be found. Those were the Dark Ages of plus size fashion.
The Blogosphere, in all its community-powered glory, has ushered in a new age for beautiful, curvy women everywhere. In fact, many of the stylish and sexy women that are showing off their favorite fashions online are becoming role models for ladies around the world.
I must say that I love having the chance to blog about fashion. And I am grateful to many women who have shared their own stories and fashion tips with me through their blogs.
I was especially happy to see that the New York Times ran an article about just this topic last month. It’s definitely worth a read: http://www.nytimes.com/2012/11/08/fashion/plus-size-fashion-bloggers-are-role-models.html?pagewanted=all&_r=0

I was reading an article by Peggy Howell from NAAFA (National Association to Advance Fat Acceptance) about fat bullying. It really bothers me that judgments are made by one’s weight. I have been plus size all my life. I have never gone below size 14. For a stranger to ask if I have gained or lost weight recently is not acceptable. Peggy writes:
Today, total strangers feel entitled to remark on our bodies, our diets, and our personal choices. It is time we stand up to these people and set boundaries. It is not okay for anyone to make unsolicited remarks about another’s body.
I would never ask someone how many cigarettes they smoked today or how many glasses of wine they consumed last night. I consider that being a bully. We are on our on journey. I once read, “If you have time to judge someone then you do not have time to love.” — Mother Theresa

Winter is here and I couldn’t be happier. I love the chill in the air, the excuse to enjoy hot cocoa in the evenings, and the chance to get out my plus size womens clothing Winter Favorites!
Scarves – Warm, beautiful, and super stylish. I love the look and feel of a scarf when the weather is cool and breezy. But I find that having several different scarves in my wardrobe is a must. After all, a casual scarf to wear while I’m running errands around town just won’t do at a party or special event.
Boots – Keeping my feet and toes warm and dry is a must. But, of course, there’s no reason not to look great at the same time. A great pair of winter boots can make all the difference when putting together a fantastic outfit.
Layers – Layers are stylish and great at keeping you warm on a chilly day. My simple layer solution that works everyday: tank top, long sleeve button-up, sweater, and scarf. It’s an easy combination that you can remake a dozen times with distinct colors and styles.
What are your winter fashion favorites for plus size womens clothing? I’d love for you to leave your thoughts in the comments.
